Remote Network Admin

Insight Global's client, a Technical Managed Services Provider is seeking to hire a Network Technician to join the Network Operation Center. This role will directly work with user systems supporting provisioning, installation and configuration of network equipment. This Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician is a position that works with various departments within the company, as well as vendors, to schedule and approve maintenances. This role is required to have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a 24 X 7 NOC environment. The Network Technician will respond to alerts, assign, track and escalate tickets within the NOC.70% tickets, 30% project Minimum Requirements-Familiarity with networking tools (ping, tracert, tracemon, NetMon, Wireshark, etc.)-Midlevel experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls-Knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, Netflow, and network management-Basic understanding of WAN technologies/protocols-Basic understanding of routing/switching-Basic understanding of security/firewalls-Understanding of security and segregation of duty requirements for an enterprise system
