As a Benefits Senior Analyst, you will be the system operational leaders support for the employee benefits function. You will be a system liaison with HR Technology and the benefits operations area. You will identify and lead benefit process and system improvements that positively impact employees while maintaining compliance to all benefit related regulations. This position is a special role merging benefit experience and expertise with system delivered solutions through Workday. You will also be responsible for designing and developing day to day operational guidance, benefit auditing strategies, systems solutions related to benefits and Open Enrollment testing.

This can be a remote position if you live in the following states only: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, HI, IA, ID, MO, ND, NE, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA, WI & WY.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides operational leadership support for the employee benefits function. Assists with identifying and leading benefit process and system improvements that positively impact employees and the company's financial position while maintaining compliance to all regulations.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Participates in project teams as the subject matter expert for design, development, and implementation of benefit plans including, but not limited to, merger and acquisitions. Identifies opportunities for integration and best practices while remaining competitive and compliant throughout due diligence processes. Provides integration recommendations to benefits leadership based on plan compliance, employee disruption, corporate goals and project timelines.

2. Coordinates with Human Resource partners and benefit team to develop employee benefit onboarding and integrations. Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities for benefit onboarding of new and/or acquired employees.

3. Leads benefit-related projects for the system using project management techniques and tools. Performs gap analysis, sets priorities, develops and implements appropriate project plans. This includes serving as a lead, representing the employee benefits function for projects as needed.

4. Provides support on benefits-related projects, development and implementation of benefits pilots and programs that positively impact employee and the company financial positions while maintaining compliance to all regulations. Conducts analysis, compiles data, and summarizes results verbally and/or in the appropriate written format to assist department in documentation and presentations.

5. Participates in the development/redesign of benefit plans. This includes participating in project teams both representing benefits and acting as liaison to HR including the Total Rewards team.

6. This position will interface with all members of the benefits team as well as with other departments as related to the employee benefits function. This position may also interface with senior management as required when involved in large scale projects. Analysis and recommendations will be used by management in decision-making across the organization. Department projects, including work around mergers and acquisitions, will rely on the information developed by this role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a knowledge of business or human resources as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field.

Must possess a strong knowledge and background in benefit design, administration and regulation as typically demonstrated through five years of related experience. Benefit system experience should include set-up, implementation, report generation and analytics. Must have advanced excel skills and Access database skills. Must have systems experience with known benefit administrative systems such as Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, bswift, businesssovler. Must have solid project management and change management skills to lead and/or support large-scale benefits projects for the organization. Requires excellent attention to detail, commitment to follow through, ability to work independently with general oversight, and respect for established deadlines. Attentive listening and polished presentation skills are needed to effectively educate human resources leaders, leaders and employees on organizational benefit strategy and related offerings. Position requires proficiency in personal software applications, including word processing, generating spreadsheets and creating graphics/presentations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience supporting and/or leading merger and acquisition benefit design, development and implementation activity in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
