Job Summary

The Business Applications Lead is responsible for engaging various business stakeholder groups, understanding their systems needs and providing guidance and expertise to solve business problems using technology. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, can multitask effectively, and is biased towards taking actions that deliver maximum business benefit.

This role is one designated as not anchored to a designated Spectrum Brands office. Work can be done remote, from a dedicated home office in an approved state within the continental United States. This role can be done from a dedicated home office in most states in the continental US.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Business Relationship Management

  • Proactively engage and develop strong working relationships with global Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations teams across all business units
  • Be service oriented and internalize the importance of “understanding the business of their customers”
  • Be the gateway between various business groups and IT groups to ensure effective cross-project communication, project implementation and issue management
  • Sales and Marketing Applications ownership and execution

  • Strong ability to document, analyze and optimize business processes
  • Lead business discussions to understand the business requirements and recommend solutions and technology best suited for the organization
  • Lead implementation of new projects as well as bug fixes and enhancement initiatives to existing applications
  • Maintain a global portfolio of Sales and Marketing applications related platforms such as CRM, B2C and B2B Ecommerce Portals, Handheld Mobile ordering platforms, merchandizing solutions, Email marketing, digital marketing solutions and other enterprise level Sales and Marketing solutions
  • Lead execution of analytics and reporting projects related to Sales and commercial reporting
  • Perform Functionality testing, Integration testing and lead User Acceptance Testing
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and recommend solutions for assigned Trouble Tickets
  • Provide accurate time estimates for projects; develop practical project timelines that take all business and resource conditions into account
  • Work with internal and external agencies and software vendors as necessary
  • Take an active role in evaluating software platforms, implementation partners and recommend best course of action for the organization
  • Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with Sales and marketing oriented platforms such as CRM, Ecommerce Platforms and Digital marketing platforms required
  • Successful experience in working with diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment is required
  • Experience with supporting and/or managing multiple application environments is required
  • Experience with Sales related analytical reporting is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Sales and Service modules is preferred
  • Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously leveraging metrics and standard management techniques
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage tasks against deadlines as well as mitigate risks.
