Summarized Purpose:

Drive innovation within the Medical Communications department through identification and proposal of technical / business solutions and projects than can add business value or solve problems. Interacts extensively with the senior management team to help in identification of critical needs and contribute to development of strategic initiatives. Serve as a trusted consultant to senior management and clients with regard to industry trends, direction, technology, and concepts.

Essential Functions:

  • Generates a healthy innovation pipeline, and maintains detailed knowledge and understanding of customer needs, competitors, emergent technology solutions, and industry / contact center trends.
  • Evaluates new technologies for their potential to drive innovation, add service offerings, improve efficiency and/or qualityof the conduct of departmental operations. Works with vendors to understand whether vendor products will meet business and/or technology requirements.
  • Ensures that the technology strategy aligns with the business strategy. Quantifies benefits (including ROI) and develops business cases for innovation initiatives.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes business requests, determining appropriate course of action (e.g., adjusts existing roadmaps, delivery sequencing, iterative planning efforts or aligns delivery through small project and/or enhancement efforts).
  • Serves as a trusted consultant to senior management and clients regarding innovation and industry knowledge / research.
  • Job Qualification

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10+ years).
  • Proven exprience driving technological innovation
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of and track record of design, application and delivery of innovation, transformational and improvement strategies, projects, methodologies, approaches and initiatives
  • Strong technical background and knowledge of contact center processes, technology, and concepts
  • Skilled at cultivating collaborative internal/external networks/relationships; experience interacting with executives and vendors
  • Capable of reading and managing interpersonal dynamics and apply negotiation skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities and able to think analytically
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates influence, impact and credibility when working on teams
  • Comfortable working with staff across multiple countries/regions
  • Capable of acting with integrity and self-awareness
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with project budgets and risk management tools
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience preferred
