POSITION SUMMARY:

The Magento/Adobe Commerce Lead Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical solutions while providing technical project support and thought leadership to the Engineering Team and Project Management Organization. This role encompasses three major areas of responsibility:

  • Effective and efficient project involvement
  • Technical leadership of project efforts on the assigned platform
  • Minor technical support and consultation for sales initiatives

A key objective for this position is to interpret client requirements, business processes, and use cases to produce quality technical designs and solutions during the implementation, enhancement, and support of eCommerce projects.

Project Involvement and Technical Project Leadership (95%)

  • Design and estimate platform solutions and integrations based on client requirements
  • Initial technical escalation point for the project team and clients
  • Support the project team through key project events (e.g discoveries, planning sessions, release demos, UAT sessions, site launches)
  • Provide highly efficient and effective development efforts
  • Provide software design guidance to developers for the more complex tasks.
  • Regular PM communications regarding development impacts to scope, budget, timeline, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Stay abreast of technical and functional dependencies across multiple initiatives
  • Technical ownership and authority of the assigned client project
  • Ensure best practices are followed for development on the platform.
  • Ensure the solution that is delivered is consistent with company development policies and standards
  • Perform quality review of work products (post facto)
  • Peer programming when needed

Sales Support (5%)

  • Estimate the level of effort for potential projects
  • Support sales staff with demos for platform solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Adobe Certified Expert or Professional Magento Commerce certification(s)
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years of Magento/Adobe Commerce experience
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering and platform technologies, concepts, procedures, and practices

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require travel upon request.

Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
