Regional Manager, External Communications (Remote)

OVERVIEW:

The Regional Manager, External Communications, will play a critical role in Skillsoft's global communications strategies by executing local communication plans for various market segments. In this role, you'll drive exposure and engagement across key media channels. 

 

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Partner with the Global Communications hub to deliver strategic communication plans for key marketing segments, including EMEA, ANZ, and India
  • Deliver compelling messaging that is aligned to the global strategy and consistent with communication plans across other markets
  • Manage regional P.R. agency teams and drive the execution for media opportunities, customer stories, and more
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with regional top-tier media channels
  • Coach regional executives, spokespeople, and communications management to represent the business and its innovations in the best possible way
  • Develop thoughtful and engaging regional content for communications opportunities, including press releases, blogs, messaging documents, FAQs, press presentations, and speaking opportunity abstracts and presentations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, solutions, and services marketing, customer advocacy, partner marketing, analyst relations, and social media to proactively engage on communications content and media opportunities

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of regional P.R. experience, global B2B tech expertise is a plus 
  • A content master – strong writer and storyteller who can draft compelling messaging for use in press releases, messaging documents, press presentations, bylines, blogs, and FAQs
  • Expert knowledge of the competitive landscape to develop a rapid response to breaking situations that require messaging or external media activity
  • Experience working with distributed global P.R. and agency partners to ensure global consistency and alignment of messaging and campaigns
  • Existing relationships with industry journalists are highly desired
  • A strong track record creating high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • An ability to be decisive amid ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus
