We have an exciting opportunity for a full time IT Consultant to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role is home-based with likely travel to South Yorkshire. You will be meeting with internal and external customers to determine their requirements and define the scope of projects or tasks.

You will be responsible for planning timescales, costs and the resources needed for the planned projects or tasks. This will involve liaising with staff at all levels and with the customer to determine their needs and the software, hardware, and network requirements. In return, you will receive a competitive salary from £43,00 to £47,000 (pro-rata) dependant on experience, entry into a contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday and life assurance.

As an IT Consultant, you will:

Meet with internal and external customers to determine requirements.
Work with customers to define the scope of projects or tasks.
Plan timescales, costs and the resources needed.
Clarify a customers' system specifications, understand their work practices and the nature of their business.
Liaise with staff at all levels of a client organisation.
Define software, hardware, and network requirements with the assistance of IT architects and technical team members.
Analyse IT requirements and give independent and objective advice on the use of IT.
Develop agreed solutions and implement new systems.
Present solutions in written or oral reports.
Help customers with change-management activities.
Purchase systems where appropriate.
Design, test and monitor new systems.
Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers.
Organise training for users and other IT Staff.
Be involved in sales and support.
Have potential travel to customer sites.
Be responsible for all aspects of internal and external project reporting.
Manage and report on project/task budget.
Liaise where required with the Group PMO team.
Manage delivery of projects/tasks through temporary/disparate project teams.
We are looking for an IT Consultant who has the following skills and experiences:

A broad range of technical knowledge.
An understanding of Call Centre environments.
High-level understanding and experience of systems platforms and hosting including cloud.
High-level understanding of networking and comms.
Understanding of project management methodologies.
Good client-facing and communications skills.
Willingness to undertake security clearance.
Prepared for occasional travel to UK based offices (anticipated most frequently South Yorkshire) but be mainly home-based.
