The Engineering team plays a key role in defining and growing DocASAP's intelligent, market leading platform. You will play a significant part in supporting the transformation and scalability of our platform to meet the market needs. You will be supporting and driving the DocASAP SaaS capabilities, responsible for building and managing our APIs. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our technical team to develop solutions for our patient access and engagement platform. We want a team member who strives to develop a first-class codebase using Java best practices. This individual is passionate about working in a high-energy environment and eager to improve design to help achieve scale in the long term. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Work as a part of our core engineering team to ensure the highest standards of design, implementation, performance, and security Work closely with the product team to ensure all customer needs are met Design and build upcoming new features Support and extend existing features Participate in daily SCRUM meetings Review requirements and develop technical solutions to meet requirements Estimate project deliverables Develop and test REST APIs to meet project requirements using Java Framework Work with data providers and API consumers to clarify requirements and remove roadblocks Provide innovate solutions to technical challenges Build and deploy framework components to achieve automated testing goals for the team Drive automation into everyday activities Deliver high quality high performing solutions You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree 4+ years of experience working in software engineering organizations, preferably in high-volume, consumer-facing applications Experience with Java and Spring Framework including, but not limited to, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring ORM, Spring Rest, and/or Spring Cloud Experience working with relational database design and query via both SQL and ORM (Hibernate, Spring Data) Domain-driven design experience Experience with Microservice architecture, including REST API design If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
