The ideal candidate for this role will have approximately two to four years of accounting experience with a desire to develop leadership skills, learn/drive reporting and analysis, further automation and advanced reporting tools, and support Caterpillar's Lean and continuous process improvement initiatives.This role provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate accounting expertise along with creativity and innovation while supporting locally developed software for Research and Engineering (R) reporting, as well as software tools such as Snowflake, Power BI and Power Query. This role not only supports management reporting requirements for planning and actual results, but also has the opportunity to independently lead Lean process improvement projects for R reporting.Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead Accounting contact supporting the ICS R Reporting system.Coordination of key ICS forecasting processes for Inter/Intra-company billing systems (PAC2 and BMS) reporting.Reconciliation of data between various financial systems to ensure timely and accurate ICS R reporting.Collaboration with multidisciplinary global teams to identify simplification, standardization, and digitization opportunities to create accounting and analysis efficiencies for finance and businessLead all ICS R Reporting development, which could include documenting business requirements, development, testing, deployment, and training on the new functionality.Basic Requirements:4-year degree, preferably in accounting.
