Description

In this role, the candidate will join the Company with 7-10 years of direct or tangential information security experience, with a strong IT background and passion for cybersecurity.  This is a highly technical role that requires knowledge across numerous technology disciplines.  Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the business by working alongside other defenders to protect the Company
  • Using and improving DSG toolsets to help detect and prevent cyberattacks
  • Supporting various security-focused tools from both a growth and care-and-feeding standpoint
  • Partnering with 3rd parties to evolve detection capabilities
  • Participating in internal and external training to further hone skills

Responsibilities:

  • Detecting and preventing cyber attacks
  • Improving existing toolsets and advancing their use
  • Learning and taking ownership of IT Security tools and processes

This is a full time remote opportunity.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus a technical degree and IT experience, BS in an IT field plus experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Security Operations and Engineering, Windows, Linux, cloud, PAM, SIEM, EDR
  • Security+ (preferred not required)
  • Vendor certifications (preferred not required)
  • GIAC (preferred not required)
  • CISSP (preferred not required)
  • Extensive knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and virtualization
  • Understanding of native OS logging mechanisms, for example: syslog, Sysmon, Windows Event Logs, etc.
  • Experience with modern security tooling (next-gen firewalls, SIEMs, endpoint defense, privileged access management, cloud-native tools, etc.)
  • The desire to work with a talented, growing team of cybersecurity professionals
  • Experience with automation platforms prefered
  • Scripting capability in one or more languages (PowerShell, bash, Python, etc.) preferred
  • Application security, DevSecOps, and/or experience with containers preferred
