Job Summary

ComPsych is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner that will act as key business partner to a specific unit of our employee population. This role consists of both strategic planning and ‘hands-on’ management of human resources policies and programs. This is a great opportunity for a HR professional with a strong employee relations foundation to gain exposure to a variety of areas within human resources and truly own the end-to-end process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate strategies for the designated business unit regarding employee relations, disciplinary action, operations, and performance issues.
  • Proactively guide and coach management in resolving discipline issues to ensure compliance with applicable statutes.
  • Provide HR expertise and guidance to both managers and employees regarding employment matters, working closely with both to foster strong work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
  • Facilitate the employee experience throughout the full employee lifecycle by doing the following: facilitating new hire orientation, conducting periodic check-ins with employees, and completing exit interviews for their designated business unit.
  • Provide a consultative and strategic approach to the Human Resources discipline.
  • Identify areas of opportunity at all levels of the business to streamline, build efficiencies and help scale the organization and human resources department.
  • Assist with maintaining the HRIS; compiles reports from the database as requested as well for compliance requirements.
  • Design workforce communications, engagement strategies and develop content including tactics and key messages.
  • Facilitate and coach both leadership and employees through the change management process.
  • Act as a cultural champion, emulating strategic leadership attributes and drive a positive culture throughout our organization.
  • Partner with the HR team to manage employee engagement activities and events throughout the workplace.
  • Maintain knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws to ensure compliance.

  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of broad HR Generalist experience.
  • 2+ years of employee relations experience.
  • Experience providing HR support to operational departments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Excellent discretion and judgment when dealing with sensitive materials and confidential information.
