Job Description

Responsible for handling routine employee relations (ER) issues including basic policy interpretation, time and labor and basic time away from work questions. Will be the primary intake and escalation support for ER cases to ensure proper routing for timely response and resolution. Functions include:


- Review and assign ER related cases to the correct team within ServiceNow ER case management.
- Use guidelines to determine if case is worked by HR Advisory Services or is deemed to require an investigation regarding a matter that poses a high level of risk to U.S. Bank.
- Resolve basic policy questions regarding policy location, policy applicability; guide managers and employees to related articles or tools.
- Advise on appropriate compensation practices, including the annual merit process, promotional increases, decrease in hours, etc.
- Provide guidance related to wage and hour and time away from work inquires.
- Provide coordination and compile data required to accurately assess accommodation requests.
- Thoroughly document ER cases within HR Case Management (ServiceNow).
- Compile reports and data as necessary to assist the HR Advisor with research to research and resolve cases.
- Assist HR Advisory Services manager with reviewing operational dashboards to ensure case resolution with stated service level agreements.
- May take incoming calls from the ER prompt. Will properly document concerns and route case as necessary.
- Assist with responses to unemployment claims as needed.

*We are open to candidates nationwide. Depending on candidate location role will be Hybrid (combination in office/remote) or fully remote.*

Basic Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related degree, or equivalent work experience
- One or more years of experience in an associated Human Resources position, or related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Previous experience working in HR Operations or HR Service Center preferred
- Ability to work independently and to identify when to engage others
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidential information
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
