What's the Role?

We are currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Underwriting T eam Lead to join our innovative and passionate team.

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute work to underwriting team according to goals and workload
  • Responds to procedural, product, and system questions for assigned FHA team
  • Participates in performance review process with the FHA Product Manager
  • Act as an escalation contact for government related questions and guidance
  • Manage Ceridian updates for assigned FHA team
  • Keep management apprised of development as they relate to personnel, workflow and conventional-related projects
  • Perform other job-related duties and special products as required
  • Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Operations or Management preferred, or equivalent work history
  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of residential mortgage origination for both Conventional and Government loans.
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry (QM, ATR, RESPA, ECOA, AIR, etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
