The company is growing at a rapid pace and needs a strong Payroll Manager to join the team responsible for multi-state payroll of over 2000 employees & consultants.

What will the Senior Payroll Manager do?



  • Manage a payroll team that processes weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles for multiple subsidiaries while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and timeliness



  • Design processes with appropriate levels of control and oversight for outgoing payments and updates to payment information

  • Ensure the team performs and executed the integration of payroll activity of acquired subsidiaries as part of M&A support

  • Improve data quality of payroll-related information to integrate with our platform

  • Set appropriate department goals and KPIs to measure success: effectively communicate performance metrics for the team to cross functional leaders

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying current on existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

  • Maintain payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Mentor and coach direct reports, payroll managers, who in turn manage dedicated teams by pay policy


What we are looking for in a Senior Payroll Manager:



  • 8+ years of payroll administration experience

  • Experience managing a team of managers

  • Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Experience managing a team delivering payroll for over 2000 employees and/or multiple entities.

  • Understanding of Payroll as it pertains to accounting & the GL

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws

  • Demonstrate solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality

  • A very proactive mindset to solving problems
