Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - 100% remote

My client, a financial services company is seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to join the team. This company provides a revolving line of credit that customers access through your existing debit card without issuing a card. Their process is turns your debit card into a credit card by syncing with your primary checking account, analyzing your cashflow; then offering up a line of credit tailored to you (not your credit score) never running a credit check, never rejecting anyone.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of full-time experience as a Software Engineer
  • BS in Computer Science or commensurate experience
  • Architecturally sound and proficient in large scale system design
  • Deep understanding of the semantics of Node.js (event loop, streams, events, etc)
  • Experience scaling and optimizing performance of applications to support rapid growth
  • Experience integrating with external APIs
  • Experience with background job processing, queues, etc
  • Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres or otherwise), including schema and query design, implementation, and optimization
  • Ability to work autonomously while delivering timely results
