We are looking for individuals who have exceptional sales and/or customer service experience. Qualified applicants must have a positive attitude, strong communication, analytical and computer skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a high-volume call center environment.We offer a competitive compensation and benefit package starting day one! Compensation includes an annual base pay between $33K-35K, depending on location, with an uncapped monthly sales incentive program where top performers can earn an additional $20K+. As part of your training, there will be dedicated time to prepare for your state licensing exam. If you pass on the 1st attempt and you obtain issue authority, you will be eligible for a $500 bonus to be paid after 90 days of employment.In this position you will interact with our existing customers and provide information about our products, as well as make recommendations on additional lines of business that best our customers. Our collaborative work environment allows for our Associates to continuously develop themselves further to provide the absolute best customer service possible.In this role you will gain an understanding of our Personal Insurance products through our comprehensive paid training program allowing you to become an expert in Travelers Personal Insurance. This position focuses on retaining our existing customers. The ideal candidate will be motivated to assist our customers find the insurance coverage they feel most comfortable with.The work schedule is Monday-Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. EST with the first 12 weeks being dedicated to on-the-job training. Following completion of training, Associates are required to work 1 Saturday every 4th week and 2 holidays per year. This is a Work From Home opportunity.As part of the hiring process, this position requires the completion of an online pre-employment assessment. This job works under direct supervision and does not manage others.**Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities**Working toward:+ Successful attainment of State insurance P & C license and all required non-resident licenses.+ Successful completion of the Retention Sales training curriculum.+ Successful completion of Transition Academy (2 month transition period for Retention Sales Associate Trainee transitioning to Retention Sales Associate).+ Obtain Issue Authority for all lines of business sold in PI+ Learn to establish rapport and provide a superior customer experience with current customers+ Develop working product, underwriting and sales/customer service knowledge to counsel, retain and sell available insurance products.+ Learn to solicit all information necessary to produce a quote, retain the business and close sales.+ Learn to develop underwriting exposures and make pricing decisions or recommendations to Underwriter+ (as appropriate).+ Learn to represent Travelers in a positive manner, while building customer rapport.+ Develop basic telemarketing, customer service, retention, sales and systems skills, build knowledge of underwriting criteria and guidelines, and increase product knowledge.+ Take inbound and make outbound calls+ Understand the Travelers - retention sales work flow and areas of focus to add customer value. Will receive guidance from Senior Retention Associate or manager.+ Learning to demonstrate strong active listening skills to identify customer problems or objections.+ Learn to handle objections professionally while clearly articulating relevant product and corporate features, benefits, and value to the consumer, based on developing working product knowledge. May require guidance from Senior Retention Associate or manager.+ Achieve and maintain the minimum required quality and underwriting metrics while consistently striving to improve.+ Receive and implement constructive feedback in the form of professional coaching.**Minimum Qualifications**+ High school diploma or GED**Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge**+ Prior call center experience preferred+ Sales/Retention experience preferred+ Familiarity with Personal Insurance Products preferred+ Good verbal communication skills+ Good computer keyboard skills+ Developing system navigation skills**Licensing or Certificates**+ Travelers is committed to a positive customer experience that exceeds expectations and to meeting all compliance requirements. Applicants with a felony conviction or pending/unresolved court cases may not qualify for licenses in all required states.+ It is incumbents' responsibility to provide any/all required court documents needed to obtain your license(s).
