Multicultural Marketing Director - Remote Opportunity

This role may be based anywhere in the U.S. The right candidate will have an established track record of leading multicultural marketing efforts within an agency or corporate organization. The candidate will join a team of successful operating executives focused on expansion and value creation. The candidate will lead a health- and wellness-focused multicultural marketing effort for the agency that is focused on building and implementing marketing plans to effectively reach and relate to targeted cultures and ethnicities with particular short-term focus on African American, Hispanic and Asian populations. As a result, the candidate will need to have deep knowledge and experience in multicultural marketing disciplines as well as the ability to identify the need for and application of audience research and insight development. These efforts should leverage best practices but also challenge conventional multicultural marketing approaches by seeking out opportunities to connect on common ground with more, better. The candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills with a sense of urgency for results and comfort working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. The candidate will also liaise with a number of centralized and decentralized (field) clients to develop transferable strategies and tactics to help move brands and product lines performance and growth across all markets. This will require exceptional people and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain focus on leading all consistently against the organization’s priorities. While this role is focused in the HLK health vertical, the candidate will need to consolidate and apply pertinent findings and insights across additional industries, clients and new business opportunities. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish opportunity, strategy, objectives and contribution of multicultural marketing effort to brand, product and organizational performance 
  • Establish baseline Key Performance Indicators for target segments in concert with total organizational objectives
  • Create and build marketing tactics in collaboration with the team that are aligned with previously established strategies 
  • Develop, maintain and update multicultural insights and applications with annual refreshes while providing ongoing timely and topical refreshed insights to take quick and decisive action throughout the year
  • Provide thought leadership within and on behalf of the agency for multicultural audience research, insights and application across disciplines and industries
  • Leverage industry best practices while using data and insights to challenge conventional thinking and provide new and innovative approaches to reaching diverse audiences 
  • Collaborate with central and field marketing clients to understand business objectives and set up cadence for communication of results/progress
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, marketing research, business administration or related field
  • Five-plus years of multicultural marketing experience in an agency or corporate environment 
  • Experience working with and building relationships with cross-functional leaders 
  • Experience in identifying, developing and executing marketing research plans independently or in collaboration with vendors
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication
