Remote: Sr. SAP Program Manager

Apex Systems Is Looking For A 100% Remote Program Manager!

Project: SAP integration project

Responsibilities 

Ability to quickly get up to speed with an on-going/in flight program, identify risks and issues, and help facilitate getting the program back on track (identifying path to green)

Managing integrations of Non-SAP applications to a large SAP Implementation Program

Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership

Must develop strong partnerships with Business and IT leaders to drive focus on the program’s objectives and optimize program delivery; will need to negotiate, define responsibilities, offer constructive feedback, remove obstacles and hold people accountable for delivering results

Create forecasts, look for gaps in work efficiency, address gaps in staffing, monitor and report on program progress and ensure proper communication is occurring within the program

Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive management

Govern multiple project teams into single program

Strong understanding of software development and agile methodologies

Ensures program meets expectations with respect to architecture, budget, functionality, quality and schedule

Work with technical product managers to identify and prioritize product features

Manage scope to meet project objectives in the timeframe specified

Experience assessing risk, evaluating trade-off decisions, and developing appropriate mitigation strategies

Experience managing projects with work streams using different methodologies

Knowledge of estimating techniques and tools

Skills/Experience 

Ability to manage through ambiguity and drive results to clarity

College degree, preferably in a technical subject; minor or advanced degree in business or industry-related subject is a plus. Work experience may be substituted for educational credentials

PMP® certification and/or other agile, industry and project management certifications a plus

7+ years’ experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools

Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts

Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

Proficiency with project management software tools used by the enterprise (MS Project and Project Online)

Industry experience preferred

Demonstrated expertise in team building and leading teams
