As a Sr. Analyst, Risk Assessment you will be responsible for leading, developing and performing Compliance, Fair Lending and UDAAP Risk Assessment (collectively “Risk Assessment”) functions. This role develops and maintains standards, establishes the scope, inclusion and mapping of regulations and risks to business lines, ensures appropriate escalation of control gaps for timely resolution, and prepares management-level reporting. Additionally, this role performs Risk Assessment governance and oversight functions and works proactively with business units to identify and escalate compliance risk.

This position helps measure and mitigate regulatory risk by working with business lines and Compliance partners to ensure adequate controls are in place to address existing and emerging regulatory risks in relation to regulations, products, or business processes. In addition, this position provides guidance and advice to the lines of business on compliance-related matters to facilitate implementation of effective, efficient, and sustainable controls.

On any given day you’ll be:

  • Developing and maintaining the Risk Assessment Methodology, Standards and Procedures, including periodically assessing the framework for enhancements
  • Partnering with risk business partners to ensure clear understanding and alignment of efforts and accountabilities as they relate to the Risk Assessment Program
  • Collaborating with risk business partners and control owners to explain applicable compliance requirements, results of changes, and potential impacts to business process and functions
  • Facilitating mapping of regulations, associated risks and business control process and develop resolution recommendations to identified issues
  • Fulfilling risk assessment change requests from various stakeholders and updating the control environment
  • Responding to internal requests for reporting and conducting standard and complex analysis of risk assessment data for presentation to stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise
  • Providing an effective challenge to existing risk assessment database workflows suggesting enhancements to simplify processes and gain efficiencies
  • Conducting periodic QA of risk assessment data to ensure accurate assignment of regulatory requirements, products and services.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or 4 years of related banking consumer compliance experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance field, specifically within consumer protection compliance
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and regulations related to OCC and CFPB expectations
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) accreditations or ability to obtain within two years
  • Experience with process documentation, risk and control assessments
  • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy and ability to apply risk assessment methodology
  • Advanced in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, prioritize and efficiently complete responsibilities while maintaining the highest quality.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience
  • Experience leveraging GRC Platform, such as Archer
  • Experience managing relationships with examiners, auditors, etc.
  • Working knowledge of financial institution processes and terminology.
  • Compensation:

    Compensation range (base pay): $68,471.00-$109,767.00IMPORTANT - This range is for the primary posting location of: Work at Home - Nebraska

    Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
