Your Impact:

Jacobs consistently receives high rankings from Engineering News-Record (ENR) in many classifications, including 2020 #1 World's Most Admired Companies by Fortune Magazine. Jacobs is currently a top tier AE for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with $1B in contract awards in the last 5 years. We provide our clients award-winning planning, engineering, architectural and interior design, construction and program management, operations & maintenance support, design-build project delivery, and the full span of environmental services. Our consulting practices leverage thought leadership in the areas of asset management, energy solutions, and business strategies. This position drives key areas of growth for our FEMA client strategy.

As a Client Account Manager, you’ll lead strategic business development with key FEMA customers to ensure that Jacobs maintains a productive working relationship with those clients; and to further grow our business by expanding our client base, service offerings, and geographical project footprint. You’ll represent Jacobs to the client in a positive, relationship-oriented, solutions-delivery approach by leveraging the broader firm.

Working with members of our team, your focus will be gaining a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, positioning Jacobs as the client’s firm-of-choice, while advocating to accomplish their mission. Together with our operations team, the goal is complete client satisfaction with delivered work and maximized benefit for our clients and the firm.

In this strategic role you’ll identify, coordinate, and lead capture teams and actively manage and shape proposal development for Federal contracts supporting FEMA clients. You’ll also secure management commitment and influence/attract key staff for pursuits.

Our client will rely on you to be their advocate, actively engaging the firm to address client needs and recommend strategic actions to optimize our investment and market growth. You’ll add value as you facilitate creation of deep, personal, valuable client relationships between Jacobs personnel and client personnel (management, technical, functional, delivery) to facilitate positive working atmospheres, and to broaden the firm’s understanding of underlying FEMA objectives at a HQ Directorate and Region level. Representing Jacobs at conferences, symposiums, seminars, and workshops and joining national recovery and response organizations will allow you to further build these client relations.

We’ll expect you to develop a deep understanding of the competition in the FEMA disaster response and recovery marketplace and identify higher levels of client engagement for executive sponsors. You’ll coordinate and facilitate Go/No Go decisions and help develop required sales costs aligned with opportunity potential and return on investment objectives. You’ll actively engage with Sales teams to influence sales process discipline, win strategy and proposal development, interviews, and presentations. Jacobs will look to you to develop and deliver on FEMA specific strategy, business plan and KPIs.
