Genoa Healthcare is a growing multi-billion dollar pharmacy business with over 580 sites nationally and is part of OptumRx and the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses. We are recruiting for an experienced Sr. Finance Manager who will report to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This role works closely with Finance team members in addition to the Anaplan community within Genoa.

The challenge
As the Anaplan Administrator you will play a critical role in maintaining and shaping the future direction of expense planning processes and tools used by our FP&A, field, and business partner community. With your systems knowledge and a commitment to build upon an Anaplan developer skillset, you will create new functionality, support end user adoption, and consult on process improvements. Over time, your scope may expand beyond Anaplan to other systems and use cases. In addition to a growing set of technical skills, a good understanding of Finance is essential in defining and operationalizing business requirements in collaboration with FP&A, Accounting, Operations, and IT.

You already have a good foundation of Model Builder proficiency in Anaplan, and you're interested in investing further into your portfolio of systems and automation skills. What you'll do

  • Use and expand upon your Anaplan admin / model builder skills to design and develop solutions that streamline and automate FP&A and Marketing planning use cases
  • Collaborate across stakeholders in FP&A, Finance Systems, and IT to develop concise business requirements and ensure their rigorous implementation throughout the project release cycle
  • Support Anaplan SME's and end users to foster knowledge sharing/training, troubleshoot issues, and advocate solutions to address gaps and pain points
  • Assist in developing training material for onboarding and general end user development of Anaplan understanding and utilization of the tool
  • Perform data driven financial analysis in collaboration with the FP&A team and Finance leadership
  • Drive internal quality control / validation for enhancements, in compliance with Internal Financial Controls
  • Work closely with Finance Systems and IT to support upstream and downstream Anaplan processes dependencies
  • Assist in driving recommendations to the Anaplan Steering Committee regarding enhancements and roadmap decisions
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and Influence projects and roadmaps from a technical perspective with tact and thoughtful ideas
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to Finance leadership as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with preferred focuses in areas of Finance, Accounting, Information Systems
  • 4+ years of progressive Finance experience, preferably with large, multi-national companies
  • 3+ years of experience as a Model Builder using the Anaplan platform
  • Aptitude to learn the pharmacy business and its inner workings to better provide analytics, reporting and data driven insights that inform decision-making
  • Sound value placed on experiences with relational databases and working with large data structures; any degree of developer knowledge in any other planning/reporting tools (Tableau) and or database query applications such as SQL
  • Sound proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query
  • Occasional Travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Robust project management skills, including ability to effectively juggle multiple ongoing projects to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); ability to translate complex information into concise, and high-quality business requirements that resonate with stakeholders
  • Excellent learning agility with bias toward analyzing and crafting order out of ambiguity
