POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Associate will work across several business lines at the firm, getting exposure to a multitude of investment strategies and growth opportunities. This position will be responsible for daily operations and assist with projects throughout the year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Responsible for daily operations utilizing Advent APX accounting system. Daily processes include security setup, new account setup, corporate action processing, and overseeing the account reconciliation review handled by a third party.
  • Team member will work closely with Compliance and Trading on daily post-trade compliance review, rule review for new client setup, and maintaining restrictions lists.
  • Operations associate will also support the team on monthly client reporting and quarterly billing using Advent APX, working with Client Relations to ensure accurate data and all deadlines are met.
  • This role will be primary for all proxy voting processes across the firm. This involves interactions with Portfolio team, casting ballots online, proxy reporting, and tracking all custodial feeds are in place.
  • Must provide superior client service and operational excellence in every interaction with internal and external clients. Being proactive in communication and maintaining relationships is critical.
  • This role will be cross-trained to provide coverage support for other members across the team.
  • As needed, will need to liaison or partner with other teams and departments on projects and to ensure we are meeting and exceeding the needs of the business.
  • Opportunities available to learn and use automation in processes.
REQUIREMENTS

Education, Training, Registration, or Certifications
  • Undergraduate degree
Work-related Experience
  • 2-5 years experience working in the Financial Services industry.
  • Prior experience in a deadline-driven role, with a track record for meeting deliverables on or ahead of time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Individuals in this role must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Holds oneself to the highest degree of accountability, feeling a sense of responsibility to their work.
  • Service mentality; commitment to clients first.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and efficiently.
