Success in the role requires strong business acumen and strategic mindset, exceptional communication and presentation skills, ability to work seamlessly with leaders at multiple levels & geographies in the organization, and the skills and tenacity to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to help identify new growth platforms, growth opportunities within business units, specific commercial markets or regions and across businesses - through the identification of attractive market spaces, determining what it takes to win, assessing competitive position and business models, and then helping the organizing to align on the strategic direction and execution plan

  • Ensure that the business strategies he/she develops clearly articulate the business choices, are well-defined, lay out talent and resource requirements

  • Help support the strategic planning process and deepen strategic capabilities in the organization.

  • Support research and analysis for identifying and assessing inorganic opportunities

  • Lead joint Segment and Corporate teams in solving complex business problems using a hands-on hypothesis-driven approach:

  • Provide project management and thought leadership to project teams

  • Guide and coach project team members in using a hypothesis-driven approach

  • Lead from the front by taking on complex workstreams and providing hands-on support

  • Develop project deliverables and executive presentation documents

  • Lead primary and secondary research, frame discussion of findings and recommendations

  • Become a trusted advisor to Segment, R&D and Commercial leadership teams

  • Drive change - designing and implementing projects to execute on strategic objectives

  • What your background should look like:

    Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering. An MBA from a top graduate program is preferred

  • 5+ years of work experience with at least 2 years in corporate strategy, strategy consulting, investment banking, or strategy / business development role with a Fortune 500 technology or diversified industrial company

  • Experience

  • Experience working in strategic projects and delivering results in cross-functional teams with limited guidance

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills,

  • Ability to structure and solve complex problems using a hypothesis-driven approach

  • Ability to structure work, manage strategy projects, and provide thought leadership to the team members

  • Proficient in creating value through the application of advanced data analytics and tools

  • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., excel, tableau, alteryx)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills - ability to synthesize and effectively communicate key messages Excellent active listening skills

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle - with experience applying these skills in managing teams and leading projects

  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset. Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • The skills and tenacity to achieve results and influence leaders without formal authority. Experience in providing leadership and developing functional skills to mid-to-senior level leaders.

  • Being hands-on, staying connected to the ongoing strategy deployment and lead implementation when necessary

  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%) to work with PKI colleagues, also meet customers, distribution channel partners and potential M&A targets

  • Must have fluency in English.

  • Foreign language skills a plus (German, French, Spanish or Mandarin a strong plus)
