Position Overview:
This position is eligible to work from home in the following states:
Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Tennessee, and Utah
The Triage nurse is a Registered Nurse who practices nursing utilizing the nursing process by providing telephone patient consultations and education, giving health information and advice to patients. Triages to the most appropriate level of care, providing illness and injury advice and self-care intervention, identifying resources, consulting and referring.
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required. Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensure required.
Licensures and Certifications:
• Current California RN license to be obtained prior to start date. – During Covid19 emergency provision, candidates may start by obtaining Temporary recognition as an out-of-state Registered Nurse through the California EMSA which the employer will initiate after hire.
• Current RN license in the state in which applicant resides
• Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required.
Experience :
Ambulatory, outpatient or emergency room. med surg care experience preferred.
One-two (1-2) years of practical experience as an RN in an OB/GYN physician�s office or OB/GYN medical office setting preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to type 35-40 words per minute and feel comfortable with clinical setting computer operations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated high level of skill in creative problem solving, setting of priorities, in an unpredictable environment.
Ability to effectively collaborate with other healthcare team members.
