Job Description
A client in El Segundo, CA is looking for a React Native Developer to join their Streaming Application Development group. As the React Native Developer, this resource will be responsible for creating React Native applications to deliver a highly engaging entertainment experience to our AT&T customers on the AT&T TV platforms. This person needs to be a self-motivated problem solver who is able to work in a fast-paced team-centric environment to design and develop new features by applying best practices and cutting-edge technology. The ideal person will be confident in their skills and eager to bring new ideas/improvements to the table based on their extensive knowledge/experience in the mobile development world.
Other responsibilities include:
Develop and track software development using AGILE/SCRUM methodology on a small software development team
Translation of design and application requirements into high quality code
Participate in peer code review and provide feedback to other developers
Troubleshoot and resolve problems in quality assurance phases and post production launch
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ready to communicate to all stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
4+ years experience with React Native; strong hands-on building React Native mobile apps from scratch
Experience with unit testing or test-driven development (TDD) (Jest, Mocha, Selenium, etc.)
Strong understanding of Restful APIs applications and microservices; Integrating with 3rd party APIs and Services
Performance Optimization: Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for production readiness.
oAbility to debug complex functional and performance issues / optimizations
SCM tools, such as Git, Jenkins, etc.
Understanding of CI/CD and release process
Capable of working in a fast-paced agile environment
Desired Skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Android (Java, Kotlin) development
IOS (Objective-C, Swift) development
MVVM, Redux Thunk or Redux Saga
Any streaming related work (VOD / OTT)
Ability to work with design, back-end development, and QA teams
