Korn Ferry is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to join the Assessment & Succession solution area. Senior Consultants will work on project teams with more seasoned practitioners and sales colleagues to deliver custom solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. This role is critical to scaling with KF’s success. Individuals at this level exercise judgment in understanding client issues and customizing solutions to fit those issues. They have developed a level of presence and maturity enabling them to take the lead on defined aspects of a project or business development activity.

Senior Consultants are expected to be autonomous in delivering assessment solutions to prospective candidates. Individuals must have had experience delivering assessments.

A&S Senior Consultants will design and deliver assessment and succession services, while continuously updating their knowledge and skills on KF methodology and research. They are also expected to mentor and build the skills of more junior KF associates. Demonstrated success in this role is an important step toward the career path of KF Partner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct assessments for prospective candidates using psychometric testing, behavioral interviewing and simulation role plays.
  • Evaluate client needs and develop solutions leveraging Korn Ferry assessment tools, methodologies, and consultant resources that meet or exceed the client expectations. Assignments may include leadership assessment using proprietary KF online tools, multi-rater tools, simulations, assessment centers, behavioral interviews, data integration and reporting, feedback, and development planning.
  • Manage large projects or a significant workstream of a more complex program and/or support relationship development as part of an account. Typical projects are several months in duration. Estimate complete resource planning for projects, recognizing when additional resources and/or expertise is needed and managing their involvement in the project (e.g., project onboarding and briefing).
  • Support the design or development of solutions for our clients by working as part of a client or opportunity team and leveraging the insights gained through research and analytics.
  • May be the Lead Consultant/Account Manager for smaller clients and manage client expectations and satisfaction. May interact with executives of the client in the context of projects. Support senior colleagues on larger, more complex projects, potentially leading some client-facing aspects of the project in an area of expertise.

  • Consult with client teams to explore requests and suggest analytic approaches
  • Understand client strategy and business issues, translate into hypotheses for testing.
  • Generate new ideas, analyses, and reports that will answer key client questions and needs
  • Lead on the creation of the storyline, translating the results of the analysis to confirm the initial hypothesis and creating a compelling story for the client.
  • As needed, run analyses using R, PowerBI, SPSS, and Excel. Analyses often include comparing client results to appropriate norms and benchmarks using z-scores, percentiles, conversions, significance testing, effect sizes, etc.
  • Create visual outputs such as charts, graphs and other data visualizations to communicate the message from data and statistics to insights
  • Check reports to ensure accuracy, tracing errors back to identify the source of discrepancies
  • Skills & Experience

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience delivering assessments to a variety of individuals using behavioral interviewing, psychometric testing and simulation role plays.
  • Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology plus several (5+) years’ experience. Alternatively, many years’ relevant work experience (e.g., in a professional services or consulting firm or within a human resources or organization design department, delivering human capital-related services).
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerBI, Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint. Proficient with R and SPSS.
  • Must have passion for the delivery of assessments, accompanied with talent management and/or succession planning.
  • Has established credentials in assessment and is able to operate independently to make custom adjustments to relatively standard offerings to meet client needs.
  • Ability to lead core service line work activities.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of assessment delivery.
