As a Key Account Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing a high-level of service to a wide-range of industrial customers and at the same time exploring and developing new markets and/or new applications. Delivering the sales plan on a customer and territory level. Build relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization. Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs and capabilities. Creating, maintaining, and progressing an opportunity pipeline to drive above-market growth in the territory. Ability to scout new potential customers in previously unknown industrial markets and/or new applications. Ability to adapt product value proposition to new applications, as needed. Hands on profile (compose commercial proposals for existing and new customers, coordinating trials at potential customers, conduct business reviews with existing customers, accurately forecast customer demand, etc). Need to establish new commercial relationships fast as well as new internal relationships with regional teams around the global. Job Requirements Critical Competencies: Chemistry or technical background/degree combined with at least 5 years in sales/application development/customer facing roles. Demonstrated experience in markets like coatings, paints, ceramics and paper in sales and business development. Customer Focus/ Action Oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm. Drives Results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. Communicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive with a desire to deliver solutions with speed and agility. Ability to relate/adapt across multiple cultures. Demonstrated ability to work with team. Strong interpersonal skills.
