During a 10- week period our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time. Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.

The Main Responsibilities

As a Project Management Intern in our North America Field Operations & Network Implementation organization, you will work collaboratively with our team to assist with migration of customers from previous products and technologies to our most up to date products and technology. Tasks during the 10 weeks will have impact on the customers as well as the business. Project Manager interns will have the potential to learn about fiber products, project management, data research, and many other Lumen programs. This will give interns the opportunity to have a customer facing role while also improving the company through research and technical training.

-Help with research of new projects alongside program manager
-Research, analyze, and produce data in pivot tables, formula worksheets, etc
-Recommend solutions to help improve the Customer Experience and products offered by Lumen
-Learn technical workflow of projects across multiple programs
-Attend meetings alongside leadership and eventually facilitate project calls
-Research competitors’ products as well as upcoming Lumen projects 
 

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Education Requirements 
o Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2022 – May 2023.
o Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Business Management, Finance, Analytics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, Organizational/Program design, or a related field

• Proficiency and understanding of: 
o Microsoft Suite- Medium to advance excel knowledge
o Data Bases utilization
o Data Analysis and Reporting
o Warehousing 
o Datamining

• Professional Attributes
o Strong drive for results and taking initiative
o Curious Minded 
o Ability to be inquisitive, a critical thinker, and adaptable. 
o Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to interact with business partners and drive the conversation.

• Work Setting
o Ideally the position will be in one of the following offices: Broomfield -CO, or Remote- Work From Home
o Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)
o Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations)
