Make yourself at home with us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Senior Director of Project Management is responsible for developing, implementing, enforcing, and maintaining the Enterprise Real Estate Services project delivery process, policies, specifications, and guidelines. Focused on the delivery of high quality, cost effective, flexible, and high performing environments across the Enterprise. The Senior Director of Project Management will work closely with other Real Estate Services team members, internal partners (IT, Security, Communications), external suppliers and consultants in the development and deployment of services. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Provide governance over Project Management partners to ensure quality in delivery; consistently maintaining scope, schedule, and budget on high project volume across multiple geographies and platforms Own the development, maintenance, management and enforcement of project delivery policies, specifications, and guidelines ensuring input and buy-in from key stakeholders Support delivery oversight of portfolio plans, strategies, and capital planning Work with the broader Real Estate Services team, vendor partners and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in the project delivery process Develop and maintain relationships with Real Estate Partners and other business leaders to understand business requirements and translate these into the delivery guideline framework Manage benchmarking and cost forecasting activities You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: B.A or B.S. in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design or similar 7+ years of Project Management leadership experience in a corporate environment with significant project management, design, or project planning within Commercial Real Estate Previous experience within a corporate real estate group, professional services, or construction management firm Previous experience in management and oversight of design and construction service providers Some travel required Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or industry related graduate degree Global design and construction experience for a large multinational company Solid communications (written and verbal) and negotiation skills; technical writing skills Leadership/management skills to deal with issues ranging from senior level to administrative Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service Demonstrated ability to succeed in ambiguous and non-mandated environments with track record of being an enthusiastic and effective team player with experience of leading and influencing internal and external resources to ensure successful outcomes Creative thinker who always looks to find improved ways of working and a proven ability to deliver beyond the set task and to provide real added value to all work undertaken Ability to work remotely in a virtual team within a matrix reporting relationship UnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination status.Careers at UnitedHealth Group.
