Responsibilities:
Administers aspects of the Epic Security Program, including policy and procedure development, security awareness training and compliance monitoring. Performs system activity reviews, assesses vulnerability to protected data and implements security measures to mitigate risk. Monitors and responds to security incidents - mitigates harmful effects and documents outcomes. Performs periodic Applications and Data Criticality Analysis and updates results to remain current with operational situation. Facilitates emergency mode operation planning and periodic testing of contingency plans. Provides System Development Life Cycle management for applications supported to
customers for installed applications including meeting with customers, the
planning and implementation of upgrades and enhancements, technical support to
resolve system problems, and may direct and coordinate work of others to
develop, test, install, and modify programs. Responsibilities include providing
training to customers as required, technical reports, system documentation,
memoranda, and instructional manuals. Assists as Project Lead or Project Team member for the implementation of new Systems or the replacement of existing systems. Uses project management techniques to coordinate resources and ensure project timelines, task completion and budgets are met. Provides technical consultation. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates systems needs
to develop recommendations for customers. Assists in establishing technology
plans and setting priorities. Provides technical services including application configuration, security, programming, report development, or interface development. Plans, organizes and leads the analysis, design, development or technical implementation of information systems projects. Coordinates the development of policies and procedures and resolution of technical problems. Guides, trains, and mentors less experienced staff.

Qualifications:
EducationHigh School Diploma Required. Associates Degree in Computer/Information Sciences or equivalent preferred. IT Security Industry training preferred.Licensure/CertificationMust obtain Epic certification as Security Coordinator within 12 months of obtaining position.ExperienceThree Years support experience in a Unix or NT computing environment at the technical support or applications support level preferred. Familiarity with Healthcare environment preferred.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEffective technical skills including system security, application support. Ability to think critically and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Knowledge of project management techniques. Good problem resolution, customer service and troubleshooting skills Business or technical analysis skills in the analysis, design, development, or implementation of small to large-scale computer applications. Personal Computer skills, including keyboard, operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and project management software. Ability to communicate complex issues effectively with customers, upper management, and technical personnel.Physical DemandsPhysical abilities necessary to move throughout the hospital, including on campus and off campus buildings, in order to accomplish duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to sit for 2 hours.
