Under general direction, supports the administrative operations and activities of the Office of Human Resources/ Compensation Team. This includes, but is not limited to job codes, position numbers, and salary administration in the HR IT system, job description database maintenance, communications (written and verbal) with internal and external parties, standard reporting, request intake triaging, salary survey submission, and independent contractor questionnaire administration.

*Note: The Compensation Specialist will be expected to work in the office 2-3 days per week and remotely the remainder of the week.**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers all transactional activities, including but not limited to job codes, position numbers, and pay changes. Supports all processes that involve the HR IT systems and ensures the accuracy of these changes related to existing staff who have experienced transfers, promotions, reclassifications, etc.
  • Maintains job descriptions within Compensation’s job description library
  • Ensures salary survey submissions are completed. Tracks budget for annual survey purchases
  • Facilitates Compensation Team request intake and triaging. Supports the documentation of client requests from the team inbox
  • Assists in the coordination, administration, and implementation of the annual salary planning (merit) process
  • Supports the Compensation Team in the production of metrics, reports and completion of projects
  • Reviews Independent Contractor Questionnaires, maintains a database, and provides status updates and responses to requestors
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • erves as a point of contact for client questions
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources plus one year of HR Generalist experience, OR HS Diploma plus 1+ year of relevant HR experience required
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs is required
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate a calm, courteous and professional demeanor under pressure when working with a variety of situations and/or people
  • Willingness to take initiative while understanding when to seek counsel from team members
