This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

  • Provide support and materials to contract management for the negotiation of adherence to key contract standards and service level agreements; monitoring FCR compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Research opportunities to increase existing business relationships such as addition of product offerings, new products, new territories, etc.
  • Collaborate on the preparation and presentation of client marketing materials, requests for proposals (RFP's), product analyses, and new business.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Informatics department on new business projections/analyses i.e. review of data specifications, interpretation of RFP requirements, and construction of client facing documents.
  • Oversee implementation of contract or SOW expansion for current client base.
  • Partner with implementation team for integration of product for new business into operation.
  • Provide training and support to Optum/UHC sales teams during new business acquisition activities.
  • Leverage understanding of client organization to develop growth strategies

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationship and engagement with internal account and relationship management team as well as establish direct relationship with client where appropriate
  • Coordinate all communications between client-side representatives and relevant FCR staff.
  • Coordinate and enhance processes, workflows, and communication internally across departments in the service of FCR clients and the overall success of FCR's programs.
  • Coordinate cross product client engagement with fellow Optum products to support a unified solution for strategic clients
  • Independently respond to and/or coordinate an accurate and efficient fulfillment of client escalations, questions, concerns, requests in a timely fashion
  • Organize the preparation of reporting metrics- in conjunction with Clinical Informatics and other relevant FCR management - that illustrate FCR performance vs. contract standards, projections, expectations including QA review of data, interpretation of trends, highlighting outliers and unusual occurrences reported.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding on-site/off-site visits and creating meeting agenda's that optimize time/financial resources of both client and FCR staff
  • Plan and coordinate the preparation and presentation of performance reports, monthly operation meetings, joint operating committees (JOC), quarterly business reviews (QBR), and ad hoc reports.
  • Oversee the research, development and implementation of process improvements that increase client satisfaction/contract performance as necessary.
  • Manage ongoing changes to master targeted provider lists and contract specific negotiations of CPT code ranges within the claims review scope with clients.
  • Manage system updates to reflect changes in managed codes or provider exceptions between client and data teams.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management (or healthcare related field)
  • 5+ years of broad based experience in relationship management/sales position.
  • Prior experience working with a healthcare plan or healthcare vendor a must.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare sales/relationship management a must.
  • Experience with development and facilitation of client presentations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point (ability to create, edit, save and send documents, spreadsheets, correspondence and presentations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the workflows and processes of claims adjudication and the functions surrounding health insurance claims.
  • Familiarity with Government Regulations for the Health Insurance Industry.
