You'll discover an opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) Optum Advisory Services is seeking a skilled Healthcare Senior Business Data Analystto be an integral part of cloud-based data warehousing and analytics initiatives for our Health systems/Provider clients. The candidate will be expected to work closely with functional Health System domain experts as well as technical subject matter experts to elicit functional, technical and integration requirements and/or user stories for the new Datawarehouse , data lake and/or data marts. Candidate will also be responsible for supporting the data modelling and data integration design efforts by performing data analysis, data profiling as well as helping with mapping source data to target data model attributes. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Facilitate JAD sessions with functional SMEs, source system SMEs and Data Architects to elicit Business and Functional Requirements Curate and Finalize candidate set of fields for each subject area/functional domain. Prepare Business Requirement Document and/or documents user stories in Agile tool (like Jira/Rally) Support data analysis/ profiling of source data feeds and systems of record Summarize Data Analysis findings and enable solution design and data modelling decisions Create source to target mapping across different data propagation layers of the data warehouse/data mart architecture Support user acceptance testing Identify and curate data de-identification for PHI/PII fields Supporting data mapping to both relational Data Model attributes and FHIR resources You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) 8+ years of Business Data Analyst experience 6+ years of experience writing Business requirement, Use cases and/or user stories, preferably for data warehouse, data mart initiatives 6+ years of hand-on experience with data analysis/profiling 5+ years of healthcare domain knowledge and experience, preferably in Health System/Provider domain 4+ years of SQL Scripting 4+ years of experience creating functional test cases and supporting user acceptance testing 4+ years of years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata etc.) 4+ years of consulting experience working on project-based delivery using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 4+ years of experience in Agile Delivery If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained Preferred Qualifications: Experience and working exposure in cloud environment, preferably Azure Experience with Healthcare data, mapping, and data analysis, HL7, FHIR and other healthcare standards Knowledge of data sources in Provider domain (i.e. EMR, ERP, Workforce Management, Supply Chain, G/L etc.) Excellent communication skills with ability to describe data/capability stories and explain value to customers Knowledge and experience of mapping source data to FHIR resources Ability to support multiple client initiatives or projects Solid documentation and facilitation skills Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing Experience and credibility interacting with functional and technology leadership Willingness to travel up to 80% Careers with Optum.
