NOTE: This position can be remotely based in Washington state, Oregon, California or IdahoSystems Administrator Opportunity OverviewUnder the general direction of the management team and senior staff, this position is responsible to implement, keep up to date and support business application systems across the bank. This includes designing, building, and implementing and optimizing applications, software and systems to ensure they meet expected service levels and to prioritize the backlog of enhancements.As a Systems Administrator with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:Maintain functionality of and provide support to assigned systems platform, including configuring systems, managing system access, workflow updates, interfacing data processes, and ensuring all applications under management are current on all releases and patches and that all system related documentation is kept up-to-date.Responsible for serving as the primary technical contact between the vendor and the business system owner(s). Perform level II/III troubleshooting support including working with outside vendors for problem resolution.Drive and contribute idea sharing with vendors and internal team members to implement new features as they become available or are requested by the business application owner(s). Assist in ensuring new or modified processes, applications and systems meet project objectives and business quality requirements.Partner and interact with end-users as required to assist in problem definition and system enhancement design. Provide subject matter expertise to assist in development and delivery of end-user training to assure systems are utilized as designedAssist in creating and maintaining Service level Agreements (SLAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for assigned system platform and applications. Participate in research, testing, and upgrade/release planning while adhering to documented change management process and procedures.Analyze, evaluate, and recommend system changes, configuration and enhancements based on business requirements of assigned applications. Serve as primary and/or backup system administrator for other software applications as assigned.Coordinate, implement and support other third-party services and their interactions with the primary system platform. Lead project work efforts and/or independently support project work. Provide basic report writing, modification and/or analysis services as required.Responsible complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations. Respond to information requests in support of audit/compliance review.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & CertificationsBachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, Finance, Business Technology or equivalent work experience requiredExperience3+ years of IT experience in related systems administration requiredExperience with banking or financial services applications and software administration preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques. Experience using banking platform systems preferably with Operations and or Lending background.Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio). Understanding of Windows scripting, scheduled tasks and basic OS patching. Understanding of Windows security measures including Active Directory, Share permissions and NTFS permissions.Ability to work with basic programming language. Experience in data mapping, system conversions, and system integration. Experience with TSQL and the ability to read/write SQL scripts a plus.Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to learn and apply new technology and ideas rapidly. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in a clear and concise manner with a wide variety of stakeholdersAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and discretion.Knowledge of commonly used financial industry concepts, practices and guidelines.
