Job LocationUSA, Louisville, KYJob Posting TitleSr. Commodity Manager Semiconductors- Remote opportunityThe ChallengeThis role will be responsible for Commodity Business Plan/Strategy for Semiconductor sourcing and year over year cost reductions within the Electronics Sourcing team. This role will report directly to the Director of the Electronics Sourcing Team.What you will DoThe person in this role should have significant experience and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and key manufacturers. As the Sr. Commodity Manager, you will drive supplier performance relative to cost, quality, delivery, and be responsible for strategic alignment with key stakeholders (Business Unit Leaders, Quality and Technology.)This position will be accountable for developing the commodity business plan for key semiconductors. And as the Sr. Commodity Manager will mentor and guide team members in the management of the semiconductor supply chain.Creating relationship frameworks/contracts with semiconductor manufacturersDefine long term sourcing strategy for semiconductors, including defining strategic suppliers and dual sourcingCapacity planning with key semiconductor manufacturersDeveloping and monitoring effective supplier evaluation criteriaMaintaining quarterly supplier business unit reviewsAnnual cost reduction negotiationsNew Product Introduction sourcing strategy and executionCollaborating with the engineering team to align on long term technical goals and incorporation of technology roadmaps into the category strategy/commodity business planEnsuring continuous supply to GE AppliancesWhat you need to SucceedQualificationsSeven years of experience in procurement of electronics components/or semiconductorsTechnical expertise within semiconductor manufacturing and marketDegree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related fieldsContract management and negotiations skillsExperience in working with multi-cultural teamsAbility to travel domestically and internationally#GEAREMOTE#LI-KS!GE Appliances is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
