Job Details
Prepare monthly financial statements and related footnotes as well as preparation of the year to date cash flow.
Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards
Implement accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation
Coordinate the preparation of annual tax return with outside tax firm
Implement a process to record transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit centers
Review and recordation of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity
Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances
