Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work as important part of Global Solutions, a division of UnitedHealthcare Ancillary & Individual
  • Assist with pricing and rate filings of products and maintain US regulatory compliance
  • Modify, run and create pricing programs
  • Support actuarial disciplines in pricing methodology, setting assumptions, benefit pricing and special projects that involve risk management. Perform quantitative analysis of data - support recommendations to help leaders make decisions
  • Interact with functional areas of Global Solutions, other UHC actuarial teams, and external consultants
  • Leverage actuarial knowledge to build Global Solutions actuarial disciplines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries or higher actuarial designation
  • 4+ years of Actuarial experience
  • Experience communicating complex information into less complex terms for diverse audiences
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency working with Excel (formulas, calculations, charts, graphs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in health care industry and / or international benefits
  • Basic or higher level of proficiency with SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or SQL (Structured Query Language)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
