Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a remote Avaya Business Development Manager for an end client located in Tampa, FL. This will work alongside a sales team that mainly focuses on selling six core lines of business â Information Technology, Unified Communications, Security, Technology Infrastructure & Specialty Contracting, Audio Visual Solutions, and Building Automation within the federal and civilian market. Candidates should have a current role in sales or business development with an existing annual revenue objective they are individually responsible for exceeding and demonstrate they have existing agency contacts with whom they can continue their professional sales relationship. Sales compensation is a combination of salary and commission, with no ceiling or caps. This person will be responsible for making frequent and consistent sales calls on customers and prospects and establish and develop buying relationships with appropriate decision-makers. They will also be in charge of supporting the proposal development effort for larger opportunities, enabling the timely coordination, development, and delivery of responses and other information to customers and prospects. As in integral part of their sales team this person must coordinate the pursuit of opportunities with the appropriate internal resources of the end-client such as estimating, engineering, proposals, contracts, and purchasing.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in Avaya Product sales

Experience selling contracts landing upwards of $3-$4million in revenue

Travel is not required, but when selling for Federal clients likely will require 3-4 days of travel per month

Experience with full lifecycle selling approach

Experience actively identifying and pursuing leads and potential clients who routinely purchase our products and services and must be capable of presenting the benefits of buying from the company.

Experience making frequent and consistent sales calls on customers and prospects and establish and develop buying relationships with appropriate decision-makers.

Experience with proposal development efforts for larger opportunities, enabling the timely coordination, development, and delivery of responses and other information to customers and prospects.

Experience with Salesforce

Detailed understanding of Federal Government procurement policies, programs, and contracting vehicles

Understanding of current climate within the Federal Government around security, cloud, and contractor responsibilities
