What You’ll Do
The Senior Manager, Diversity Equity & Inclusion for Global Operations will lead the development of workforce diversity, equity and inclusion engagement models that invite and integrate employees into our ongoing DE&I strategy. They will work across business segments and regions to develop a global culture of inclusion which unlocks human potential and uncovers the key drivers of a workplace culture in which all employees can advance and thrive.

  • Work globally and cross-functionally to identify, scope, and implement a resource group strategy, including ERGs, Diversity Councils and Committees and Inclusion Champions.
  • Develop and provide strategic guidance to DE& I groups at the Global Operations level, including diversity councils and committees, employee resource groups, and other inclusion influencers.
  • Create and implement communication strategies and content management for training, campaigns, and web resources (internal audiences) to support DE&I initiatives on various platforms.
  • Develop and manage programming of cultural celebration and awareness initiatives at the Global Operations level. Develop recommendations and best practice resources for deployment by business unit leaders.
  • Provide leadership consultation to Executive Sponsors and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of Stanley Black & Decker’s DE&I strategy.
  • Manage and enhance ERG membership database, performance scorecard, and provide other metrics as needed to provide relevant data, analysis and recommendations. Track and transparently report progress.
  • Conduct ongoing research on best practices and recommend strategies for continuous improvement of diversity initiatives.
  • Act as a project manager for other assigned projects that support Stanley Black & Decker’s DE&I goals and objectives.
  • Some travel may be expected.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or closely related field and 5-7+ years of Human Resources experience with a mix of diversity & inclusion and talent experience
  • Proven track record of ability to influence and partner with business and HR leaders to successfully drive large scale organization initiatives and gain their commitment and support working with employee networks and diversity councils.
  • Experience designing data-driven ERG programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and reinforce diversity and inclusion strategy and the company's business case for diversity.
  • Forward-thinking, detailed-oriented, personable, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • High level of computer literacy -- particularly Microsoft Suite (preferably highly proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams).
  • Ability to collect, analyze and share data via various mediums including Excel, PowerPoint, and summarize/synthesize talking points.
  • Skillfully navigates conflict situations and effectively balances diverse stakeholder perspectives and expectations.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information.
