Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) has transformed itself into a leader in ambulatory surgical centers, surgical hospitals, and hospital-system partnerships. With Service Excellence as one of our core values, we are transforming the current Information Technology department to better position SCA as the industry leader in surgical care. Our IT team is focused on providing our partnerships and management teams with timely, quality technology support that meets their management and clinical needs and is reliable, helpful and easily accessible.

We are currently seeking a highly talented and energetic leader to join our team as the Manager of Organization Change Management (OCM). The OCM Manager is responsible supporting the people side of change, specifically managing all technology related training, communications, and change activities undertaken by the technology team at SCA in support of our surgical facilities and support services teammates. This position will partner with our facilities and support staff to define our end-user change management strategy for our most important initiatives, lead and/or participate in critical projects, and ensure our customers are fully prepared to take advantage of the significant technology enhancements being delivered to SCA.

Additional management responsibilities include managing a team of one to four direct reports in the areas of change management and training development & delivery.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting and providing overall guidance in the areas of:
  • Leadership of the technology training and communications functions within the Information Technology department at SCA.
  • Developing communications plans, including tools, strategies and communications development, to support our most important change initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining awareness amongst our technology teams of the importance and effectiveness of the technology change management practice.
  • Serving as the owner and primary escalation point for organizational training needs for our technology teammates and supporting our teammates through the individual development plan process.
  • Creating and executing a variety of technology training offerings and working with executive leadership team to identify and implement employee engagement strategies.
  • Leading all change management efforts (planning and execution) for new and existing large scale technology projects, including applications and infrastructure changes.
  • Supporting executive leadership in all levels of employee messaging and engagement specific to managing technology change throughout SCA.
  • Change Management responsibilities include:
    • Applies a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side on all projects and change efforts
    • Lead key phases within projects, including stakeholder assessment/analysis, change impact assessment, change readiness, change management plans, and adoption/ reinforcement planning
    • Advising client on strategy to support adoption of changes for projects
    • Participating in various IT initiative meetings to understand, think through OCM needs, and observe interactions which might be indicators of needs, to develop the best OCM plan for that initiative and impacted teams
  • Training responsibilities may include:
    • Working with stakeholders to identify and fully understand all SCA applications, technologies and IT competencies that require structured training
    • Developing materials, channels and models of training, including manuals, quick guides, online videos, web conferences and instructor-led classrooms
    • Developing short and long-term training solutions to help staff achieve and maintain high levels of expertise and performance
    • Delivering training to a variety of internal audiences and skill levels, including new hires, IT support staff, and executive leadership teams.
  • Communications responsibilities include:
    • Supporting and executing communication tasks for IT-related initiatives and programs
    • Supporting the communications needs associated with operational tasks of the department
    • Provide writing and editing support for internal communications, newsletters, presentations, help guides, training material, FAQs, video scripts, and web content.
    • Monitor and respond to departmental mailboxes
    • Maintain internal operational communication sources, including department intranet site, monthly newsletter, calendar, and other IT sites
    • Working with internal IT stakeholders and subject matter experts to distill technical information into simple, concise, everyday language for internal audiences.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of successful training, communications or change management experience
  • Bachelors Degree Required, Business, Organizational Change Management preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of business communications and training best practice
  • Excellent editing and communication coaching skills
  • Experience with technology collaboration products, preferable Office365 and SharePoint, a plus

Certifications

  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Change Management Specialist (CMS)
  • Change Management institution (CMI) certification
