Position Highlights:
100% work from home (no onsite) Monday through Friday schedule at 40 hours per week Average patient load = 3 patients per hour Provider will deliver telehealth primary care visits to patients ages 2 years and up Responsibilities include: Provides and manages remote patient care with diagnostic acumen, using audio and visual technology to complete patient examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment. Documenting/Charting patient information in line with current policies and proceduresProvides preventative and wellness care for all ages 2 and up. Delivers holistic, patient-centered care with continuity as the identified primary care providerAbility to communicate effectively and compassionately through audio visual consultations with patients and able to address patient concerns through these mediasDevelops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of careCommunicates with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriateEducate patients on the risks and benefits of treatments ensuring the patient is a part of the decision-making processAbide by all associated rules, regulations, and laws regarding collaborative practice requirements for each state licensed for telehealth What makes an OptumCare organization different?
