The Role:

We are seeking “Athlete” Recruiters who are motivated by creating a great Candidate experience, who are energized by ambiguity and recruiting cross functionally (engineering, manufacturing, early career talent, corporate staffs… you name it!) Someone who is upbeat and curious to learn, a true partner who recognizes the importance of their work and the business they serve.

Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of project management proficiency, critical thinking ability, and effective organizational skills to develop and execute sound recruitment strategies. Skilled judgment, grace-under-pressure, and personal resilience are important behaviors for success in this valuable role. As Recruiters, we source, screen, and slate for highly complex, moderate-volume jobs, while we focus on our delivery of a great experience

Responsibilities:

  • As the subject matter expert and primary point of contact, work with assigned functional area’s HR professionals and Hiring Leaders to develop results-oriented recruitment strategies
  • Partner with and actively build collaborative & consultative relationships with Hiring Leaders
  • Understanding the hiring demand and strategic objectives of the business within assigned functional areas
  • Pipeline generation through development of accurate job descriptions that attract diverse candidate pools with targeted characteristics/competencies
  • Source and screen qualified internal and external candidates, and onboard new employees
  • Attend HR and business function staff meetings and provide Recruitment update(s)
  • Employ continuous improvement through consistent re-assessment of recruiting plans, methods, tools and processes
  • Promote the GM brand as an Advocate for DEI, partnering with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to support hiring plans comprehending corporate hiring initiatives for diversity, gender, veterans, and those with disabilities
  • Understand the external factors that impact the supply of top talent, GM’s bold position, salary level structure, candidate supply, and candidate requirements for various job categories
  • Train hiring leaders in the interviewing and onboarding processes
  • Partner with Talent Insights and Recruitment Marketing to meet performance metrics

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent/relevant Recruitment experience
  • Minimum 3 years of full life-cycle Recruitment as TA and/or HR
  • Minimum 1 year Corporate "in-house" recruitment experience 
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Advisor/Consultant to the business as related to Talent Acquisition
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates with technology in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and build strong relationships
  • Preferred Qualification:

  • 6+ years of full life cycle recruitment experience
  • 3+ years Corporate "in-house" recruitment experience supporting end-to-end process management
  • 3+ years experience as a Talent Acquisition Advisor/Consultant to the business
  • Technologically bold - experienced with Workday, HireVue, Paradox, a CRM, additional scoring/matching technologies as well as other AI tools.
  • Experienced in recruitment of passive professionals in Software, Hardware & IT
  • Experience supporting/driving change
  • Experience supporting a global matrixed organization
  • Analytical with advanced problem-solving skills
  • Desired Skills:

  • Stakeholder orientation while championing collaboration and partnership
  • Willingness to provide strategic perspective, take intelligent risks and act as a champion of change

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range base d on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.The median level of salary compensation for this role is $88,667
