Events Planning Specialist - Remote

Coldwell Banker Realty, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage, is searching for a hardworking and passionate Event Specialist. As a Event Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution and coordination of various local, regional and national events ranging from small 10- person luncheons to a multi-day conference with an attendee size of 5,000 plus. This position provides support in the areas of marketing, retention, and recruitment by maintaining Coldwell Bankers brand and culture through the live experience of events and delivering superior service to the company’s key stakeholders. We plan more than 300 events per year from idea to execution. This position will be remote but must have the ability to travel nationwide as needed with overnight trips.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Plans, coordinates, implements, and is responsible for all aspects of events. This includes, but is not limited to:

    Site inspections

    Venue negotiations

    F&B negotiations and selection

    Speaker curation

    A/V assessment and negotiation

    Room blocks

    Budget management

    Facilitation of airport transfers and event transportation

    Collection and management of attendee list and responses

    Coordination of event related collateral if applicable (name badges, website, programs, menus, etc)

    Vendor relations

  • Event onsite support

  • Event debrief sessions including detailed financial recap and follow up strategies

  • Other duties as needed

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Event Planning, or related field; specific event planning certifications may be considered in lieu of BA

  • Minimum of 4 years of corporate event project management experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at various levels of scale

  • Comfortable with all aspects of the event lifecycle.

  • Certified Meeting Professional designation is a plus

  • Ability to effectively present information to internal and external audiences

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Uses sound logical judgment to choose an appropriate course of action

  • Takes decisive action and seeks assistance of manager in decision-making, as appropriate

  • Highly organized to work as individual contributor and part of team

    This position can be performed anywhere except Colorado.
