The Opportunity
Mayvenn, the industry's leading Black-owned online hair and service company, is looking for a motivated Performance Copywriter to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate has a passion for engaging people with direct response writing and an interest in the beauty industry. Our Copywriter must feel comfortable making data-driven storytelling decisions and be able to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to fulfill a multitude of copywriting and editing needs.
The Performance Copywriter will take the lead on creating copy for performance marketing needs, with a heavy focus on short-form copy, including but not limited to SEM, SEO, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube ads, emails, etc. The right fit for this role has experience with writing copy specifically for direct response and paid copywriting.
This is a Remote Position.
Requirements
- A proven track record of producing direct response marketing assets in various forms with sales-increasing performance
- Portfolio with samples
- 2-3 years of experience writing copy
- The ability to write copy that people relate to - that forms relationships and earns trust
- Desire to learn on your own and improve
- A positive attitude
- Own all performance copy with a focus on customer lifecycle touchpoints including paid social, search, email and other revenue-driving channels
- Create copy for paid social media and marketing, including but not limited to SEM, SEO, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, emails, etc.
- Self-editing and copy editing for typos, grammar, and tone of voice
- Proven ability to understand target audiences and craft copy tailored accordingly
- Experience copywriting across digital channels and deep understanding of best practices for each
- Create compelling copy for email campaigns and adjust strategy to meet monthly goals according to analytics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
