As a Sr. Quality Engineer (SDET), you will be an integral part of the leader in B2B and B2C payment platforms and the fastest growing groups in the organization. You will be working in an Agile Scrum team that is responsible for working for various ERP connector solutions. You will be testing the various features both through automation as well as manually. These feature are created using the latest cloud technologies and you will be required to understand the underlying tech and make sure that the feature is of the highest quality. Our company objective is to delight our customers with every feature we develop and the first thing our customers notice in our product is its quality. You will also have the opportunity to work with our customers and this is a very unique opportunity to understand the customer needs and impacts with respect to our product.


This person can work 100% remote from the location of their choice. Team is targeting Candidates in Eastern and Central Time Zones at this point.


How you’ll contribute:

  • Analyze functional business requirements for completeness and test case preparation
  • Create/write test scripts for manual execution based on Business Requirements
  • Execute test scripts and identify variations from expected results
  • Participate in a rotating schedule providing production support to internal and external business clients, which occasionally requires support outside of normal business hours
  • Interface and coordinate research/resolution of issues with the Customer Support, Development, and Product Management teams
  • Keep management informed of testing project status, raise issues/risks as necessary
  • Create/track/retest software defects in designated defect tracking tool
  • Work closely with development and product management to discuss defects and resolutions
  • Participate in and provide input during QA process improvement initiatives


What will make you successful:

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS, or related engineering/science fields-or, equivalent work experience
  • At least 5+ years experience in Quality engineering and at least 2+ years of automated test development
  • Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs
  • Experience with NetSuite, Sage, Great Plains and any other ERP products are a plus
  • Experience in mentoring others in Quality Engineering practices
  • Experience in working in a Java/Javascript based environment
  • Experience in working in an Agile Development environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in quality assurance, engineering support, or technical support environment or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge of Oracle and Postgres databases
  • Ability to execute existing SQL queries as well as write search queries of varying complexity
  • Solid knowledge to interpret results, identify trends and communicate appropriately
  • Sound knowledge/experience of Web Application testing
  • Understanding of software QA processes and methodologies/tools
  • Ability to perform tests against Web applications, both front-end UI as well as back-end databases, application servers, and services
  • Experience in documenting and executing black box, exploratory/heuristic, end-to-end, and any other testing approaches necessary to ensure effective product test coverage
  • Experience with integration testing against external vendor APIs (REST, Webservices etc.)
  • Experience in JIRA and the Zephyr test case management plugin


Preferred Experience:

  • Payments industry experience
  • Experience in Purchase Order Invoice testing
  • Experience in ACH, Wire, Card etc. payments transaction processing
