We are actively hiring for a IT Sourcing Leader. We are seeking a motivated and data-driven deal maker & tenacious negotiator to support the data center, network and cloud operations space. The Sourcing Leader will work with the stakeholders to develop strategic category plans that optimize cost savings, provide service excellence, and drive operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will effectively influence internal client relationships to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to execution of sourcing strategies.
Essential Responsibilities
As an individual contributor, you will join IT Sourcing team and will work with significant autonomy and be expected to execute on your multi-year Category plans. To be successful in this role you will be highly analytical. You are someone who has passion for exhibiting the strategic nature of Sourcing and its impact to the bottom line to your stakeholders and CSAA leadership. This individual will be working with Next Gen IT teams on a transformation journey. It is expected from this role to prove that Sourcing is not a bottleneck but enabler of win-win deals.
As the Strategic Sourcing Leader, you will be responsible for conducting spend analysis, developing category plans, and running end to end Sourcing and Contracting processes for several categories including but not limited to:
Cloud – AWS, Azure
Data Center (Co-Lo)
Compute, Storage
Routers, Switches, Firewalls
Telecom; voice, data, wireless, mobile
Other primary responsibilities include developing project status, spend reports, client presentations, and dashboards.
What would make us excited about you?
5-10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing role with focus on IT deals specifically Cloud and Infrastructure deals
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field (Master's Preferred)
Expert in Sourcing and Contracting Processes
Have a reputation as a negotiator and dealmaker
Ability to lead complex cross-functional teams and projects
Strong analytical and financial/cost modeling skills
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and implementation barriers
Ability to influence Senior Leadership decision making and strategy
Client focus/customer service – ability to effectively engage and interact with all levels of IT organization personnel
Understanding of IT Operations and IT processes
Ability to work with clients at all levels to develop business, technical, and functional requirements for RFx process
Ability to work effectively with Legal and Finance teams.
Advise and assist clients in developing quality contracts with an eye toward ease of implementation (can contract be operationalized) and effective management, monitoring, and reporting post contract award.
Perform spend analysis and work with clients to develop category plan and sourcing strategy
Strong supplier lifecycle management skills
Escalation and problem resolution – sometimes being the advocate for the supplier
Ability to identify, develop, and implement self service capabilities (e.g. catalogs, efficient use of POs, and self-service templates)
Project Management Certification (preferred)
Sourcing Certifications (preferred)
Experience with Coupa (preferred)
