The Estimator (Remote - Midwest) calculates costs of projects based on blueprints and/or specifications for our Interiors Group. Strong candidates may have previous experience in interior design, project management, construction and/or engineering.
The Estimator will report to the Estimating Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Accurately estimate cost of projects using Excel, Bluebeam Revu or other provided forms for internal and external customers on a timely basis
- Prepare takeoffs from blueprints or specifications to determine quantities and treatments required for projects
- Obtain vendor quotes and material costs from internal and/or external suppliers
- Prepare project files and serve as a resource to internal and/or external customers
Qualifications Include:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years estimating experience preferred
- Intermediate MS Excel knowledge
- Blueprint reading and estimating software knowledge preferred
- Experience with specifications and construction documents preferred
- Previous experience in interior design, project management, construction and/or engineering is a plus
