The projects this Director and their team will oversee support our risk adjustment initiatives for our Medicaid population.

This working leader with work closely with the business and Optum to develop novel programs to support risk adjustment accuracy. This role supports our C&S health plans directly and will matrix with clinical, operational, and financial leaders within our business segment. The growth pipeline for these novel programs is large; this leader will support building out new processes and reporting to ensure our programs are achieving anticipated results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead oversight of our Optum-run Medicaid risk adjustment accuracy programs.
  • Develop management reporting for operational excellence oversight
  • Partner with Optum to evaluate program outcomes and develop management reporting
  • Lead evaluation of UHC, Optum, and external risk adjustment accuracy programs.
  • Understand and interpret key drivers of health care trends
  • Mentor and develop an elite team of analysts and help them create unique solutions to complex problems
  • Analyze forecasts and trends and translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences including senior leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 8+ years of healthcare economics experience
  • 5+ years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASA or FSA designation
  • Experience working with actuarial concepts and methodologies in health care

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700.
