The QA engineer works closely with developers and product management to understand the features being developed (which are documented in product requirements, specs, epics and/or user stories); review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback, create detailed - comprehensive test plans and test cases that are then executed. As a QA engineer you will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure the quality of the feature being developed #LI - CL1ResponsibilitesWorking with developers, product managers and other QA on a feature team to ensure full testing and delivery of completed code to production.Developing test plans and delegating testing efforts across the team.Manual testing as well as developing automation tests (UI and/or API tests) to assist in the regression of testing.Championing quality practices on a team for all sprint work.Being a subject matter expert in a particular area of your feature team, to help challenge and ensure development is conscious of user experiences - being an advocate for our users.Mentoring and on-boarding other QA members or feature team members.Helping establish processes and plans to ensure breadth of testing and being proactive about risks.Highly technical and self-driven role. Embedded within a Feature Development team, working directly with Front-End Engineers, Back-End Engineers, Product Managers as well as being a senior member of the greater Quality Engineering team.
