About the role

Zillow is currently seeking a Direct Sales Associate to support the Direct Sales Manager in the build-out of the rapidly growing Zillow Offers Resale platform. This dynamic role will be dedicated to the Direct Sales channel within the Resale team. You will have continuous interactions with third party investors, broker partners, Product, Resale, Field Operations, Asset Management, Machine Learning and Finance teams to develop processes, communicate tooling needs, prepare documentation and reporting, and review deals to enable Direct Sales to efficiently scale.

  • Review, document, and supervise inbound purchase offers for acceptance, rejection or counter, and communicate decisioning with Resale operators, field operations, and investment organizations

  • Assist with leading contract details with third party investment organizations, brokers partners, transaction managers, and Zillow Home Sales to ensure contracts are filled out accurately and in compliance with Zillow legal standards before signing

  • Execute (review & sign) documents and innovate process flow from pre-list to resale closing while working closely with transaction management to ensure closing dates are met

  • Partner with Direct Sales Manager and Legal to ensure program is in compliance and to negotiate/tailor custom purchase and sale agreements for specific investors

  • Maintain offer review underwriting model to proactively analyze and surface homes to organizations that fit the profile

  • Provide feedback to Acquisitions and Machine Learning around projected home sales to more accurately price homes with likelihood of transacting through channel

  • Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting relevant to Direct Sales activity

  • Maintain communication with multiple teams for property specific status updates and expertise consultation as this channel impacts downstream workflows

  • This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

    Who you are

  • 2-3 years of Real Estate Experience or similar experience preferred: understanding of contracts and the title/escrow closing process.

  • Creative Problem solver & Enthused Change Agent: a critical eye to processes and solutions that are adopted internally and by outside teams.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build win-win solutions

  • Underwriting or valuation experience (preferred)

  • Analytical: You will wrangle data from different sources, structure it legibly and accurately for mass consumption and take action based upon findings.

  • Organized & Detail Oriented: You will break down sophisticated problems and work towards solutions quickly with limited mentorship, including at times when technology solutions are not available.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications

  • Proven understanding of SQL (Mode/Presto) and Tableau a plus

  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams, handling expectations and timelines, and monitoring performance—in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptable: You will be joining a rapidly growing team at Zillow. There will be many opportunities to go above and beyond what’s asked of you and to find new problems and challenges to tackle, all while developing your career. We are looking for candidates who are excited for that chance!

  • In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
